Eric Melchor moved to Romania from Texas in 2020. While consulting for a Romanian startup that employed people from all over the world, someone suggested he launch a podcast since he had a natural ability to engage with people and get them to open up and laugh. Soon after, he launched the Innovators Can Laugh podcast interviewing startup founders from all over Europe.

After nearly three years of podcasting, Eric had cultivated a loyal and valuable audience of SaaS marketers and tech founders across Europe. While exploring ways to monetize his show, he discovered a frustrating reality: major ad networks only work with podcasts that boast 10,000 or more monthly downloads. Realizing that most B2B podcasts typically attract just a few hundred downloads per month, Eric saw a clear gap in the market.


In October 2023, he pitched the idea of creating a dedicated B2B podcast community to a select group of podcasters. That idea quickly gained traction, and B2B PodPros was born—a community where b2b podcasters could learn, experiment and grow together.

Just weeks after launching, Eric shared a LinkedIn post in November 2023 highlighting the value of niche podcasts. A growth marketer at Dealfront took notice and asked to run a 3-week test ad campaign across five different podcasts. Eric said 'why not?' and within two weeks of going live, the results spoke for themselves—the niche podcasts were driving high-quality leads as tracked by Dealfront's technology. Impressed by the performance, Dealfront asked to do a 12-month sponsorship, with the condition that B2B PodPros would optimize the podcast lineup every three months based on campaign performance.

In June 2024, B2B PodPros expanded its services to include video ads on podcasts with YouTube channels. With YouTube now ranking as the top platform for podcast consumption, this addition provides brands with an excellent opportunity to reach wider audiences and boost their visibility.

In September 2024, B2B PodPros teamed up with the Listen Network to launch a powerful new offering: Podcast Ads paired with LinkedIn omnichannel campaigns. By targeting a brand’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) on LinkedIn and delivering their message directly to their audience, this innovative approach combines the reach of podcast advertising with the precision of LinkedIn targeting—creating an impactful way for brands to connect with their ideal prospects.
